Presentation Guidelines

Encouraging Creativity

By establishing some guidelines, we do not want to inhibit the creativity of presenters. Presenters should feel empowered (as our 2008 conference slogan suggested) to "amplify the possibilities" of presentation formats, styles, and content.

File Formats

Presenters can choose to create their presentation video using any available digital tools, but the final presentation will be uploaded to two different locations as described in the presenter's intro letter. Those websites (blip.tv and dotsub) will transcode your uploaded video file into an embeddable Flash format, and in the case of blip) will create a mp3 audio-only version and an iPod-compatible video version of your presentation.

Remember: You must submit only a single video file no longer than 20 minutes in length.

Deadlines for Submission

Please respect the following deadlines to help ensure a smooth running conference:

Sept 21: Teaser Submission Deadline (Teasers are optional at each presenters' discretion)
Oct 1: Pre-conference keynote submission deadline
Oct 6: Week 1 Presenters' submission deadline
Oct 13: Week 2 Presenters' submission deadline
Oct 13: Pre-conference keynote is posted
Oct 20: Week 1 begins
Oct 27: Week 2 begins
